Four youth train with USTA Excellence

HJTEP youth Jalynn B. age: 11, Damita B. age: 10, Winter F age:12 and Donovon "DJ" S. age:11 attended the USTA Excellence Team training in Florida.

This four day training involved six other NJTL Excellence Team youth from Philadelphia, DC, Las Vegas, Boston and Texas. Three of our players (Jalynn, Winter and DJ) used the opportunity to train in preparation for the International Junior Orange Bowl in Coral Gables, FL. In addition, to training with USTA High Performance Coaches and interacting with the other youth to share experiences and best practices.The four received a treat when Pro tennis sensation Slone Stephens stopped by to offer advice on tournament preparation, best practices etc. Also, James "Jim" Kelly (HJTEP Chairman) surprised the players to offer his support and words of encouragement.
