A Gala to Remember
HJTEP hosted its Annual Spring Gala on May 12, an unforgettable evening of celebration, community, and inspiration raising nearly $1.1 million. The event served as a powerful reminder of the impact the program continues to make, thanks to the unwavering support of generous partners, families, and friends.
One of the most moving moments of the night was delivered by graduating senior Lena Waterman, whose heartfelt speech touched everyone in the audience. Her words reflected the strength, growth, and sense of family that HJTEP cultivates every day.
Two outstanding honorees were celebrated for their contributions to sport and community which continue to make waves. Tennis Hall of Famer Chris Evert received the Shining Star Award recalling her illustrious career and lifetime dedication to empowering the next generation. The award was presented by the legendary Billie Jean King, adding special significance to the moment. Morgan Stanley was presented with the Corporate Award in recognition of its exceptional partnership and ongoing commitment to youth development through tennis and education. The award was accepted by Jessica Schnurr, Chief Marketing Officer at Morgan Stanley.
