About the Indoor Season

HJTEP serves youth year-round in three 10‑week sessions during the school year, plus summer camp programs. The Indoor Season is a key part of this cycle, giving student‑athletes the chance to stay active, sharpen their skills, and build strong habits during the colder months.

Our renowned youth tennis program accepts ages 5-18 at every stage of development, from first introduction to the game through advanced levels of play. Participants advance through progressive levels:

Grassroots I & II – Beginners learn basic skills with age‑appropriate equipment in a fun, game‑based setting.
Futures – Players transition from recreational to competitive play, focusing on technique, court etiquette, and tournament readiness.
Intermediate – A more intense training environment for kids ages 11–14 who are preparing for competitive tennis.
High Performance I & II – Advanced players train multiple days per week, compete in tournaments, and work toward national‑level competition.

Aspiring student‑athletes stay with us for an average of 7–10 years, and their ultimate goal is to be selected for The Tournament Team, where they have attained high standards of both play and academic achievement. We can’t wait to welcome your family to the HJTEP community this Indoor Season!

Important Application Note:
Due to high demand, all applicants will initially be placed on a waitlist upon submission. We strongly encourage families to still apply, as our team will actively review waitlisted applicants and invite eligible students for evaluations on a rolling basis. Placement in the 2026-2027 Indoor Season will be offered based on evaluation results and space availability.
