Laughter & Love at the Village Underground

HJTEP supporters gathered at the legendary Comedy Cellar’s Village Underground for a night of laughs which had the entire crowd in laughing tears from start to finish, thanks to an incredible lineup of comedians, including Aminah Imani, Matteo Lane, Reggie Conquest, Roy Wood Jr., Yamaneika Saunders, Sydnee Washington, and Marie Faustin.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Aminah Imani, a talented comedian and proud HJTEP parent, who organized the benefit show in honor of HJTEP’s impact. Having seen firsthand how HJTEP has helped her son Nasir grow both on and off the court, Aminah curated a powerhouse group of performers for a night filled with meaning, laughter, and love.

It was a packed house, and the energy was electric. HJTEP is deeply grateful to Aminah and everyone at the Comedy Cellar who made the night possible and  raised $3500 to support HJTEP’s mission in the community.

After the show, the HJTEP staff treated HJTEP’s graduating seniors to a celebratory dinner. The evening was filled with gratitude, memories, and heartfelt conversations as the seniors reflected on their journeys and shared their dreams for the future.
