West Harlem Tennis Clinic: A Community Win
HJTEP brought the joy of tennis to West Harlem at the Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park on May 3. The sun was shining, and spirits were high as dozens of young athletes came out to learn the basics, run through drills, and experience the excitement of the sport, many for the first time.
HJTEP's coaches, joined by several student-athletes, led the charge with patience, encouragement, and skill. A special shoutout goes to the students who stepped up to help the younger kids get comfortable on court.
Following the clinic, HJTEP staff treated the student-athletes to lunch to celebrate their hard work as role models throughout the day.
