USTA Tennis Development Workshop (TDW) 2015
Mikella Matthias (Operations Manager) attended the Annual USTA Tennis Development Workshop in San Diego, CA as the representative for HJTEP. She met NJTL's from across the U.S. to share best practices/ resources, network, and build partnerships. The five day seminar covered tracks about youth development, adult & league play, marketing & communication, diversity and inclusion & fundraising, and organizational development. The NJTL Awards Ceremony commenced on the final day, five NJTL's\ individuals were recognized for their hard-work and dedication for the sport, and communities served. James Blake (Tennis Pro & HJTEP Alum) was the Master of Ceremonies...he did an amazing job! In his opening speech, James reflected on how being apart of an NJTL (HJTEP) as a youngster helped aid his journey in becoming a "champion in tennis and in life".
